How to Deal with Non Paying "Customers"

Hello my lovely lads and wenches...
Recently, there have been some issues brought to my attention regarding persons coming into the Den and helping themselves to goods or demanding services from slaves when they have not bought and paid for anything.

Of course, you are slaves and are not allowed to flat out defy a free person, HOWEVER, you, your services and all the other fine goods available in the Den are my property, and are not to be stolen or misappropriated.

If someone asks for goods or services and has not deposited a reasonable amount of gold or gems into the coffers at all recently (or ever), since the last time they ate, drank, or stayed overnight (slept), you are not expected to give it to them.

Just go to the coffers and look at the log to see who has deposited what recently.

The proper thing to say if this occurs, is, "Please forgive me Master/Mistress, but I am not authorized to give away my mistress' property or services. Do you have a tab or some arrangement with my mistress?"
or something very close to that.

Do remember that some patrons deposit large amounts of currency into the coffers less frequently, rather than paying for things as they go.
If they say they have credit or some arrangement with me, take them at their word. If they are lying, remember that the walls have ears and I will find out, and then I will deal with them.

It is not the place of a slave to accuse a free person of dishonesty.

Remember your place and be polite and deferential, and if it seems they are going to force the issue and I or another trusted free person isn't available, apologize, excuse yourself and go to your kennel and pull the pin from the automatic locking mechanism on the door. Then it will require a key to reopen and you will be safe..
Then let me know exactly what happened and I will deal with the situation.

Hopefully, you will not be forced into this uncomfortable situation, but in case you are, now you know how to handle it.

Yes Mistress, read and understood. Will keep this in mind when dealing with any Free Persons in the Den
