"Winning" Moreta

Over the years, many warriors have expressed interest in Moreta, but all who attempt should be warned... She is not woo'd or won easily!

Jealousy will lose her instantly. She has always believed that neither love nor affection are finite resources, and she will always dole out demonstrations of both as she sees fit. She is faithful in that she will always hold to whatever promises or agreements she makes, but anyone looking for someone who will never become intimately involved with others as well should look elsewhere.

In both men and women, she admires strength, courage, conviction, loyalty, integrity, honesty and, above all, honour.

She has a very difficult time trusting men with her heart, so it will be much more difficult for a man to get close to her than a woman.

It will take a man strong enough to be her equal in will, spirit and battle, yet enough of a gentleman to treat her right, as a lady ought to be treated. Even though she *can* take care of herself, she may discover, with the right person, that she enjoys being taken care of.. as long as it is never in a condescending way.

He will also have to be confident and sure enough of himself that he will not feel threatened by her strengths or be afraid to allow her to protect him, just as he will protect her.
He should know when to fight for her, when to fight back to back with her and when to let her fight her own battles.

He will need to be strong enough to evoke her respect and admiration, as well as a degree of her submission to him as a man. He needs to know how to put his foot down when needed, but will have to know better than to try and force it when not warranted.
He must be able to lead her when she needs him to, follow her when it is wiser to and walk beside her the rest of the time.

At the same time, he must realize that she has been hurt terribly many, many times and is determined never to open herself up again to love, as she believes it is only a road to grief and pain. Tread too heavily and she will bolt.

The biggest challenge to all of this is that she doesn't really even realize any of this. She has no idea that ANY man can capture her heart, let alone what sort of man is ideal for her. Almost all the men she has ever gotten at all serious about have proven to be either too weak willed to keep her interest or have tried too hard to force their will upon her and she has come to the conclusion that she is simply not cut out for marriage.

She is not well in touch with her feelings at all, much of the time.
She relies much, sometimes too much, on logic and fact, shoving matters of the heart aside and often denying that they exist at all.

To make things all the more difficult, she doesn't really see herself as all that beautiful either. She doesn't think she is ugly or anything.. just never really thought about it much, so she is unlikely to even understand why she gets the attention she does....

Where others see her soft and ample womanly curves enhanced by the underlying ripples of well honed muscle, her slightest movements made sinuous by the strength and grace of a warrior trained for battle, and the fierce determination in her stance and gaze that lends an irresistible fire to her very being, she sees a body that is more like a man's form with the afterthought of female features tacked on and a manner too brash to possibly be compatible with a mate.

She is completely repulsed by weak willed males who are looking for a mommy figure or who are pussy whipped or can't run their own lives (note: she knows that slaves are not necessarily weak willed), as well as boorish jerks who demand subservience just because they have a penis.

She is also absolutely turned off by mindless drama, pettiness, and smothering/over clingy behaviour.

While Moreta is by no means shallow, she does tend to prefer women with more curves than thinner ones, and she likes muscle and long hair on both men and women.

"So how does a woman know a man is worthy of her submission, of all those things she is, of everything she can give? The greater you value yourself, the greater your need to test those who pursue you.

The hunt is a way to sort out the men from the boys. It proves the male's ability; physically, mentally, emotionally, spiritually. You treat him as an equal because you will accept nothing less but in reality you are not looking for an equal, you are daring him to be something more; testing him, seeing what he will allow you to get away with and what he will not; testing his mettle, gauging his reactions, measuring his resolve, assessing his intelligence. You learn much from hunting and being hunted. And in the end, when he has you cornered, when there is nothing further you can do, when he has out-witted, out run, out manoeuvred you - the feeling is incredible."
