What's up with these slaves anyway?

What's the deal with the slaves?
Are they treated well?

Those are the two most frequently asked questions I get asked about the Den.

Slaves are not recruited for the Den. They must take the initiative to seek slavery and submit of their own free will. Please note that only adults may apply for training.

Those who are accepted for training at the Den are not "pets".. They are slaves.. chattel.. property. They are owned outright and, while they are allowed many freedoms when given free time and treated well so long as they serve well, they are not free once the collar goes on.

A slave is not a citizen, or even, in the eyes of the law, a person. Rather, they are accorded the same legal status as livestock, though many are prize stock and treated as such.

Slaves do not have any rights. At all. Everything they are allowed is at the whim of their owner and may be taken away just as easily as it was granted.

They are expected to be obedient and pleasing. If they fail to do so, they will be punished. If they serve exceptionally well and are especially pleasing, they may be rewarded in kind.

All slaves in the Den will serve food and drink, run errands, and do chores such as cooking, cleaning and mending and other manual labour.
Den owned slaves, with some exceptions, will also be expected to perform intimate services for the clientèle.

Unlike many systems, the choice can be unmade, however, this does not mean the decision to enter into slavery should be made lightly.

If one discovers that slavery simply does not work for them, they may beg release and it will be granted them, BUT, there will be no bouncing back and forth, and, if training has not been completed or if a slave is released and dismissed, they will be turned away with nothing.

Slaves who complete their training and serve well be will be given a severance package upon release, based on their performance and length of service.
