This position is, as the name suggests, meant for displaying a slave.
The slave stands with his/her legs slightly parted, enough for a hand to be placed between the legs, standing on the balls of the feet, back and legs straight.
The head is held up, proudly, as a slave, so the free may look upon the slave or examine the head, face, neck and throat easily. The slave's eyes are lowered in respect and submission.
In the first display position, the slave's hands are clasped behind his/her head, and may also be holding the slave's hair up and out of the way.
In the second display position, the slave's wrists are crossed (or hands clasped) behind the small of the back.
In the third display position, the slave holds his or her arms straight out to the sides, hands level with the shoulders and flexed slightly with the palms up.
When the command is issued without specification, the first display position should be assumed. Subsequent display positions may then be commanded by calling the position number, "next", or by the clapping of hands, upon which the slave should immediately, but smoothly and gracefully, move to the next sequential display position.
When in a display position, the slave may be commanded to walk, run, crawl, stand, turn, flex her knees, throw his head back or turn it from side to side, and bend back, forward, or to one side or the other at the waist.
Hand signals for these individual movements are:
Walk: The first two fingers of either hand pointed down, as in the command for nadu, and moved in a "walking" motion.
Run:
Crawl:
Stand: The first two fingers of either hand pointed up, as in the command for nadu, but inverted.
Turn: A twirling motion with the hand or index finger.
Flex knees: The first two fingers of either hand pointed down, as in the command for nadu, and bent, briefly, like flexing knees.
Head movements: Pointing at the slaves head and gesturing in the direction of the desired movement(s)
Bend: Point at slaves torso and indicate direction to bend.
A slave may also be told to "move for the [audience/buyer/etc]" or "display yourself". On being given this command, the slave would then move through the various display positionings an movements, slowly and sensually, for the benefit of the viewer(s). If being shown to a large enough gathering, the slave must ensure that the movements
