Amazed and delighted with her new found connection with the Earth, she revelled in the sensations. She could feel even the smallest of particles of water in the air. The plants were her kin.. The very soil was a living thing under her feet! Then, as she dug her toes into the dirt, she found herself enraptured.. It felt as though she was going into the womb of Mother Earth, Herself... And a very peculiar thing began to happen.
So in tune with the forces of nature, was she, that her toes began growing longer, digging deeper into the ground, becoming roots, and her entire body transformed into a tree!
Initially, she couldn't quite figure out what had happened, and, once she did, she was rather ecstatic with it, and amused herself, and others, by sprouting all manner of leaves, vines, and flowers, both on her branches and in the ground nearby. She discovered that she was even able to move her limbs and grow more at will, creating things such as hammocks, swings, and even a safe bed, for her young friend, Rakuen.
Over time though, she lost more and more of herself, reverting increasingly into true tree form, spirit and all...
Concerned for his friend, Craspy discussed the situation with the spirit of his mother, Arabella, who decided to intervene.
She entered the tree, overpowering and melding with the tree's own spirit, and forcing Moreta back into her own physical form, though greatly weakened and still trapped inside the tree.
Then, as Craspy and several other friends looked on, she opened up at the bottom of her trunk, and actually birthed a very frail Moreta! Nothing like it has been seen before or since!
At first, Moreta was much as an infant; Unable to stand, walk, or eat solid foods. Her entire body was a very odd, green colour, she had no idea of who or where she was, and was terribly confused when awake.
With the help of Craspy, she very slowly began regaining her strength and memory, and the green began fading a bit.
