Into the Light

Fear-Forever engraved upon the cold, stone walls of a hardened heart.

Love-Etched upon the cornerstone of my very being.

Building to a crescendo that cracks the mighty stone that is too hard to bend.
Softening the heart, from the inside out,
Causing it to pulse and grow with new life,
Filled with light that shoots through the cracks Of the now crumbling walls,
Promising the dawn of a new day.

And now the fear,
That seemed so eternal in the cold halls of darkness,
Has turned to dust,
And been swept away on the winds of change-
Now viewed only as sparklets of gold
In the warming rays of a smiling sun.
